Hmm. I’m a bit of a Radio 4 nerd, and I came across the recent radio dramatisation of The Great Gatsby on iPlayer the other day that’s just perfect (imagine my surprise when halfway through the show I realised the voice of Gatsby himself sounds familiar - yes it was Andrew Scott). It got the characters down pat. Oh look, they still have it on iPlayer! 

Don’t judge a movie by its gif sets, but the casting here seems wrong. Di Caprio and Carey Mulligan seem to be playing their parts entirely too -strongly? - for Gatsby or Daisy, who had always seemed to be well, less so. Daisy and Gatsby always struck me as being more…ethereal than what I see in this gif set. 

I am more than happy to be proved wrong, because Di Caprio and Carey Mulligan are great actors. Still eagerly anticipating the movie.
